Jorge Armando moved to Berlin from Mexico ten years ago and, luckily for us, he brought with him the delicious street food of his childhood. The mushroom and zucchini quesadilla is a flashback to the streets of Mexico City while marinated pork shoulder is slow-cooked until it falls off the bone, when it’s zinged up with some red onion, coriander and the Taco Kween salsas – salsa roja (made with tomatoes) and salsa de habanero (red onion, habanero, orange). From the rotating menu of specials, we love the gordita, literally a ‘fatty’: a corncake stuffed with meat. Best of all, Jorge’s got his own corn mill and orders in GM-free, organic maize to press his tortillas!
