We salute Jolesch as the city’s king of schnitzel, that crispy breaded jewel in the crown of Teutonic cooking. Ever since Bite Club launched in summer 2013, we’ve been gunning for them to make a street-friendly version, and they got so excited they only went and got a food truck!

The restaurant is a Kreuzberg institution, having been serving up a bipartite menu of modern and traditional Austrian cooking for nearly two decades. So you can imagine we’re pretty stoked to have lured chef Tobias Janzen on a mini-break from the wood-panelled dining room. Conservatives be warned: Tobias is devising crisp, handheld schnitzel sandwiches, creamy potato-gurken salads and more.
